The consultation showed that the preferred branded pieces were;
- Hats
- Blazer
- Jumper/tank tops
Whilst parents showed a preference to retain the uniform as it is, we had to be mindful of the government guidelines to make uniform more accessible for our whole school community, we did this by;
- Reducing the number of compulsory branded uniform items,
- Making most items, compulsory and optional, available on the high street.
- Increasing our offer of pre-loved uniform sales.
- Retaining the uniform shop as parents strongly praised the convenience this provided for them.
We want to thank parents for responding to the consultation and we have incorporated as many elements of the responses within the new policy as possible. The new Uniform Policy was approved by Governors earlier this month and comes into effect 1st September 2026.
To ensure we minimise waste in this transition period, children will be able to wear existing uniform until they grow out of it, at which point replacement items will need to follow the new policy. The school uniform shop will also continue to sell existing stock until this runs out. New pupils will need to buy items in accordance with the new policy only.
